Projects around the farm
Steve and his dad have been undertaking a bunch of projects around our place.
The new tarp roof is now up on the tree house
A new summer coop has been framed into the barn for the young hens and turkeys
We got the lawn furniture out of winter storage
Here is one of the young turkeys
These are the old hens. We're leaving the garden fallow this year, so the hens have the run of the fenced in garden plot.
Steve and his dad have framed in a massive overhead grape arbor behind the garage
Today they put a wash sink in the utility room. Nathan approves.

Zoo in Spring
A chilly morning - the zoo's tulips were in full glory
No trip to the zoo would be complete without pretending we are being eaten by the alligator statue
We did spend some time looking at real animals. Honest.
Nathan seemed to enjoy seeing the manatees. We liked going to the theater at the zoo this time. Petra was enchanted by some penguins. Fun day.

Little Fishy
A poem for Nathan, composed by Julia and Mommy.
Sung to the tune of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider"
The itsy bitsy fishy swam 'round the fishy tank
Nobody cleaned it, and so the fish tank stank.
Out came the scrub brush and cleaned up all the gunk.
Then the itsy bitsy fish tank no longer stunk.
