While the rest of us were finishing our dinner, Julia climbed up on the two-step step stool to get down big yellow bin, so she could pick out a treat for dessert. As she squeezed the bin, the lid popped off and dropped onto Paul's shoulder, scaring him, and making a terrific racket.
"And this," I said, "is why we put the child with the most HP in that seat."
Paul was not amused.
NOTE: HP stands for hit points, and is a term used in video games to describe how much damage a character can withstand before being knocked out.
